So life once again is taking a strange turn, after having worked exactly one year at the Art Institute of Chicago I got the call to join the Chicago fire department, which I took the test for back in 2006. I'm looking forward to it in that I'll have a lot more time for making art which is really imporatant to me and a lot more money so I can buy car, move out, pay off the school loan, open a gallery, etc. I'm not too keen about having to go to the academy everyday for six months before all those yummy days off. Also, this job essentially keeps me living in Chicago as long as I'm on it, which has never been a concern until lately, though that may not even matter any more. I suppose I'll roll with it, it isnt everything I wanted and doesn't leave much room for decision making, but it gets me a lot of things that are important to me.

Art wise I'm working on a big project as always, and hope to have that up soon. I'll be starting another piece for my friends theater company soon. I learned how to fold towels into animal shapes, and the guitar learning is going well.
